I purchased Jukeboxpro a few years back but was never able to register it
and my free trials ran out. I have the authorization number but couldn't
connect to www.jukeboxpro.com to complete the registration.
Jukeboxpro is software similar to that found on Touch Tunes downloading
jukeboxes and will catalog 999 albums. I liked the software because it had a
touch screen interface and my plans were to use my mp3 library and a Seeburg
trashcan as the cabinet to setup a digital jukebox. I moved on to other
projects and never got beyond the software purchase.
I recently added to my mp3 catalog and now have around 65gig of music, more
than enough to populate the software and wanted to revive this project. But
I can't find the web sight to complete the registration. It appears the url
is dead. Does anybody know anything about this software, registering it or
what happened to the parent company JUKEBOX PRO Co.
In case I'm s.o.l. can anybody recommend a similar type of jukebox software
that can use a touch screen interface along the lines of Touch Tunes

Hi Jeff;

Take a look at 'www.juketime.com', (Juketime-JBI under Products). I
converted a Rock-OLA jukebox over a year ago and everything has been
working great. Their software provides a fairly complete solution
and the user interface is powerful but easy to use.

A couple of features I really like are the built-in CD lookup database
and the importing of file based music (MP3). To catalog my CDs all I
had to do was just load the CDs and press the 'Catalog' button (touch
screen interface). It ripped the music, looked up the CD and auto
loaded all the data like Artist, CD Title, song Title, Release Date,
etc.

Importing of my disk based music was just as simple. The jukebox
interface comes with a companion application that handles all the
system maintenance type functionality. I launched the application,
picked the directory containing the music and clicked import. It
automatically extracted song titles, artists, etc. from the internal
MP3 tag information and populated the music database.

Let me know if I can provide more information.

Wincab jukebox software is the best that I have found, and it's free.
It's recently had a name change to DWjukebox.
The website is at http://www.dwjukebox.com/
I customized the skin to add volume controls and a few other buttons and I
REALLY like it.
I have over 450 gigs of music on an external hard drive hooked to a laptop
and a touchscreen monitor and it works great!

Keith,
I downloaded dwjukebox to give it try, but can't get it to start. Just to
play around I created a new folder from one of my MP3 files and edited the
songpath parameter in the jukebox.ini file to point to it. I get the fatal
error; "0:00:01.47-LVL0-INDEXER: FATAL: No songs found! Check the SongPath
setting in JUKEBOX.INI"

Any idea what I'm missing?

I don't know Jeff,
Chris, the guy who invented it is VERY helpful, and there are several active
forums dedicated to the program.
If you go to this forum
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,27.0.html
You should get an answer quickly.
Let me know if you need more help.
Thanks!

Keith
With some dinking I figured it out, apparently the sub-directory with the
mp3 files can have only that, mp3's, any other files, i.e. cover art,
indexing files etc. create problems.
Thanks for the forum link
Jeff
