There isn't much information on the Pyle Pro PP-999 Phono Preamp on
the internet, so here goes:

Specifications (as printed on the packaging, typos - if present - are
mine):

Source Voltage: DC 12V
Load Impedance: 10 K Ohms
Reference Voltage 1 V
Input Sensitivity / Impedance:
PHONO 3 mV / 50K Ohms
THD 0.08% for 1 KHz 3 mV Input
Output Level: 2V
S/N Ratio (with A-WTD): 70 dB
Frequency Response: 20 Hz ~ 20 KHz (+/- 2 dB)
Dimensions (WHD): 3.54" x 2.13" x 1.02"
Weight: 0.40 ks / 0.88 lbs

It is the cheapest Phono preamp I found available and it certainly
comes with no frills. No instructions, and not even a company name or
even a "Made in..." sticker anywhere. I assume it's meant to be an
internal component in other products, maybe.

If anyone can de-mystify me on the technical qualities, I'd appreciate
it. Especially the Frequency Response part. Some HiFi cartridges go
up to 45 KHz, but you'd really have to be an audiophile to care about
that. My Pickering Cartridge won't hit that ceiling.

People whine about the "lack of a ground" but I think they're missing
the obvious. You can just connect the ground wire to any of the four
screws on the chassis. I'm not getting any hum with that setup.

Does any of that technical mumbo-jumbo prove that an RIAA curve is
being applied? I mean, it must be, because I'm hearing bass. But how
do you tell from a bunch of numbers?

Thanks
YN

PS: No, I don't work for them, whoever they are. I just had a hard
time picking a product, and chose this one cuz it was available direct
trough Amazon, so I figured if I hated it I could return it easily.
